Join Donatello, Leonardo, Michelangelo, and Raphael in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Cowabunga Collection. Successfully completing these races contributes to your progress in the Riddler side mission. You must activate radar pulses to extend platforms from walls to make it over water pools and pitfalls, your button presses timed ever the more precisely. You're on a clock, and the goal is to make it through all the laps while adapting to the constantly changing obstacles in the track.
While in the car, approaching a garage door marked with the Riddler's signature question mark will grant you access to an elevator, leading down to one of the criminal mastermind's uniquely designed underground racetracks for the Batmobile. Also, since you can use the nature of it being a tank to strafe sideways and move more carefully, this allows for further maneuverability when navigating narrow halls or, in some cases, even inching along rooftops.
In addition to weaponry, the Battle Mode plays a role in puzzles as well, using its hacking capabilites and EMP device to manipulate mechanisms in the environment its winch allows you to climb up or tear down walls, and extend platforms. When firing at human targets you'll employ the non-lethal riot suppressor, while the Vulcan Gun and Missile Barrage are used to obliterate robotic military tanks, drones and helicopters that the villanous Arkham Knight sends your way.
Holding L1 (PS4) or LT (Xbox One) transforms the car into a tank, AKA Battle Mode - here you can explore the Batmobile's full range of artillery.

You can also violently ram cars offroad with a rather shocking amount of power, thus getting their criminal drivers out in the open for interrogation, or just a good ol' fashioned beating of justice from the Caped Crusader. Crowds of thugs occupying the streets will be thrown to the side on impact with the vehicle (from a shock pulse) while others will retreat in fear. Most weak structures around the city such as trees, weak walls, streetlights, signs, flagpoles, fences, iron bars, and even some concrete/stone stairs and walls will all perish on impact with the devastating force at which the iconic vehicle charges at. Missiles can be launched at vehicles you chase. The Batmobile comes with two primary modes: the default Pursuit Mode enables you to drive around the streets of Gotham City, with the car's afterburner included as a speed boost. This is the first time players will be able to assume full control of a vehicle as Batman. The Batmobile has been confirmed to be a drivable vehicle in Batman Arkham Knight.
